Successful nutraceutical companies are putting diversity initiatives on the top of their agenda, as they increase employee productivity and engagement, enhance creativity in the workplace, and increase profits.

The Diversity & Inclusion Networking Breakfast serves as a platform to highlight the importance of establishing diversity in the workplace and facilitate an inclusive environment, share strategies and explore industry initiatives that could turn diversity into reality in the nutraceutical industry.

Following a free networking breakfast, participants are invited to dive into the 3 critical topics outlined below; Women in the workforce, Leadership and Company culture.

An industry-wide gender imbalance exists, especially at board level. While women are educated, evident through university ratio, they often drop out of the workforce early due to childcare responsibilities. Women often tend to find a better fit in start-ups since cultures are more inclusive and flexible. This roundtable looks at:

• Addressing gender imbalance, especially at high-level

• Supporting women’s careers during their child’s younger years

• Identifying skills needed for women to take on senior/board-level positions

• Considering equal parental leave and split childcare responsibility

Leadership mindset sets the tone of any business’s culture, and those stuck in old models will quickly find themselves challenged to grow. When motivation is needed to change mindset of leaders, it’s usually a financial one.

Topics of discussion:

  • Why diversity & inclusion initiatives are a benefit to the bottom line

  • How to change the mindset of leaders and build the business case for change

  • How a healthy company culture drives productivity and profitability

Healthy company culture engages employees, drives productivity and increases profitability. Companies not stepping up to the mark will quickly find themselves at the bottom of the pile in a competitive marketplace.

This discussion focuses on:

  • Understanding the changing demands of the modern workforce, especially the Millennial and Gen Z

  • Attracting and retaining talent

  • Implementing initiatives such as flexible/remote working Case studies from businesses where company culture has been successful
